School of Whitewater Paddling

Basic Information

When:   May 3-5, 2013

Where:  The Mulberry River at Turner Bend

Turner Bend is a privately owned campground and open to school participants, instructors, and volunteers. The campground is located near Cass on Highway 23, approximately 11 miles south of Highway 16, and 13 miles north of I-40 at exit 35/Ozark. The GPS coordinates are N 35° 40.091' W 093° 49.703', WGS 84.

Cost:  You must be a current member of the Arkansas Canoe Club before you can register for the School of Whitewater Paddling. ACC Household Membership (covers all your immediate family living in your household) costs $25 per year (multi-year memberships are also available). If you have multiple members of your immediate family covered by a Household Membership are applying for the school, only one ACC membership is required. We also offer a Junior/Student membership for those under 25 years old. If you are not already a member of the ACC, please visit the Membership section of our website.

The course fee for the School of Whitewater Paddling is $90, which includes a $5 American Canoe Association event fee. If you are a current American Canoe Association (ACA) member and can provide your ACA Membership Number, then you are eligible for a $5 discount. Registration: The following is required to register for the School of Whitewater Paddling:

1. Completed Event Registration (completed online at this website)
2. Receipt of Event Fees ($85 or $90 depending on your ACA Membership status) which we strongly encourage you to pay via PayPal when you submit your online registration.
   
3. Receipt of a SIGNED ACA Waiver and Release of Liability which must be sent via mail to: Adam Willard, School of Whitewater Paddling, 113 Rolling Meadows Ln, Bossier City, LA 71112.
